But clearly this word generates a large variety of thoughts and images, and evokes a wide range of emotions. In the Northern Hemisphere there are regions in the south, that are warm and ’spring-like ‘all year long, where many varieties of exotic flowers are always in bloom. When we are celebrating spring here in New York City, our neighbors living on the other half of the earth, are enjoying the beauty of the Fall Season.

There’s another aspect of spring to add, and that is, it’s a time generally for students to graduate and spring into new journeys, the beginning of new careers. Spring is chosen very often  as the ideal season  to plan weddings,  springing into new relationships. In addition, spring is also the season when  Summer Vacations are planned, as well as  many travelers planning  winter or fall vacations, and ‘get-a-ways’  in between, to destinations with ’spring-like’ climates.

The aroma of spring is in the air, how wonderful, the awakening of the trees & flowers, and the songs of  birds. This of course is unique, based on where you live. But the feeling of springing into a new beginning, an old or new adventure, the desire to ‘get-a-way’, is universal. How wonderful to find spring in our thoughts, fantasies, and travel plans throughout the year!
